Yet Alive

You ever told someone something and it was like they weren’t listening so you had to tell them again...well that was me; I had a small office plant and out of all the plants I watered it seemed as if this one plant was dying no matter what I did. After awhile I thought it was completely dead. So I moved it out of my office and into another room so I could just throw it away and use the pot for something else. The day that I was getting rid of it I placed in on the bottom of my custodians cart. As I did my eyes focused on the new, fresh green leaves that were growing at the bottom. I couldn’t believe it! Looking from the outside all I saw was a dead plant. What I had given up on and what I thought was dead was very much alive! Weeks later I remember bragging to a coworker about two poinsettias that I got for Christmas. They were still alive by my fireplace at home. I became frustrated because as soon as I told them it seemed like the leaves started falling off and it looked dry and dead! My plans were to toss them out but about two weeks ago I was getting my hair done and I had my eyes closed, I was relaxed. I opened my eyes and there again, I was focused on those poinsettias... and they both had NEW green leaves! I immediately said I hear you Lord, I hear you! Sometimes life can be trying and it can seem like you’re losing on every hand. Maybe it’s your health, family or finances. But just know whatever you lose is just for a moment cause God can restore, he can make all things New! The enemy wants us to focus on the dead stuff, the old us, the things we’ve lost, our situations in general. But don’t give up. Every hope, dream, vision, it’s not dead; God’s got it! Keep watering it with Faith and see what happens.... that mustard seed will begin to produce New life!
