Did you BREATHE today? 😮💨

I think I’ll take a moment and breathe before I even begin this. 😮💨😮💨😮💨 I have found out that it really does work! I can’t tell you how many times I had to stop and breathe today. I mean if I’m completely honest I actually had to get up and walk away. I completed a task at work, and my relief of finishing, quickly turned into stress. I thought I had made a major mistake. Although not intentional, it was going to cause a huge problem. As much as I wanted to fall apart in that moment, I knew that wasn’t going to solve anything. I quickly consulted a coworker who could see what I had done. I begin to pace back and forth in her office, looking out the window, determined that a meltdown wasn’t gonna happen. Just breathe I kept telling myself. I then consulted with the person I was doing the work for and what they could see in their system looked “perfect “(her words). This did calm me down a bit, and I felt a lil relief. We checked with other people on her team and everything looked great as well. So I decided to take that as a win and look at things tomorrow to see if there was some kinda glitch happening on my admin view. We’ll see…… All I know is there’s nothing worse than feeling overwhelmed or feeling like you’re about to lose it. But in the moment you’ve got a choice. Panic or calm yourself to clearer thinking. Things are going to go wrong sometimes and even in the midst of you not knowing how to handle it, before you react it’s always good to stop and Just breathe!! 😮💨 It gives you a chance to refocus and bring things to a calming place. Regroup or walk away if you have to; but never let it defeat or overpower you!
