I think Iāll take a moment and breathe before I even begin this. š®āšØš®āšØš®āšØ I have found out that it really does work! I canāt tell you how many times I had to stop and breathe today. I mean if Iām completely honest I actually had to get up and walk away. I completed a task at work, and my relief of finishing, quickly turned into stress. I thought I had made a major mistake. Although not intentional, it was going to cause a huge problem. As much as I wanted to fall apart in that moment, I knew that wasnāt going to solve anything. I quickly consulted a coworker who could see what I had done. I begin to pace back and forth in her office, looking out the window, determined that a meltdown wasnāt gonna happen. Just breathe I kept telling myself. I then consulted with the person I was doing the work for and what they could see in their system looked āperfect ā(her words). This did calm me down a bit, and I felt a lil relief. We checked with other people on her team and everything looked great as well. So I decided to take that as a win and look at things tomorrow to see if there was some kinda glitch happening on my admin view. Weāll seeā¦ā¦ All I know is thereās nothing worse than feeling overwhelmed or feeling like youāre about to lose it. But in the moment youāve got a choice. Panic or calm yourself to clearer thinking.Ā Things are going to go wrong sometimes and even in the midst of you not knowing how to handle it, before you react itās always good to stop and Just breathe!! š®āšØ It gives you a chance to refocus and bring things to a calming place. Regroup or walk away if you have to; but never let it defeat or overpower you!
