The Hill

I grew up with my family in a rural area. Not much traffic just trees and bushes everywhere. There was a path that led to our house that sat up on hill. I remember playing outside in the back yard on those warm spring and summer days. I also remember the days just before it rained how we could look down the hill and see the rain coming. I can remember my mom calling outside; get the clothes off the line, let the car windows up, put the bike in the shed. It seemed like there was just enough time to get all that done before the drops of rain began to fall. God has said he’s gonna open up the windows of Heaven and pour us out a blessing. Are we preparing to receive everything he has for us. I am learning to listen for his voice and follow his instructions, just like I did when my mom called out to me. Go where he tells me to go. Say what he wants me to say. Do what he tells me to do. The latter rain is coming. Although I may not see it as I did when I was a little girl, I’m trusting in his promises. And because of my faith and obedience I have already begun to feel the raindrops. #therainiscoming
