Moneyball

It was Christmas 2019 and I’m always trying to think of new things to do. The family had agreed to playing a gift card game in lieu of buying gifts. I still wanted to do something for our parents/grandparents, something different, something they’d remember. Then I had a thought 💭 I remembered seeing families play a game where items were hidden in a Saran Wrap ball. Hmmmm I thought...let’s put all our money together and have it hidden throughout the ball. The family agreed and donated toward my idea. I bought the Saran Wrap and began thinking of ways to actually begin making the money ball. I watched a few videos but found out quickly that my task would be a bit harder since I only had flat paper bills and not an object to begin it with . I thought about it for days and even found myself laying in bed tossing and turning praying “Lord I wish I could find a plastic ball...that would help”. I know there are other things I could be praying for....but He said I could ask anything 🤷🏽‍♀️Anyway the next day I go to work and a parent drops a gift off on my desk. I’m in the middle of something so I say thank you. I don’t even touch it right away cause it’s just looks so pretty sitting there. Finally I can’t help myself and I pick it up. My facial expression changes quickly.....I am holding a chocolate Ferrero Roche ball. It wasn’t a solid chocolate ball but a plastic ball with the chocolates inside. OMG I told my friend, I was just praying for this last night! As tears began to flow so did this scripture; Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. (Matthew 6:8) At this point my coworker is teary. I’m fanning my face to try to control myself. God hears you when you pray. He hears it whether it’s big or small; whether it’s spoken or unspoken; he knows it before you can even ask! He says cast ALL your cares on him! He is the one that makes provisions for us. It was in that moment that God reminded me that if he can do something as simple as giving me a plastic ball...what more could he do! 💃🏻 Let me say that again...what more could he do! #justask

P.S. It was really fun watching my parents unwrap that ball....and they loved what they found inside!
