A couple of days ago I cleaned out my fish tank. The bigger fish always gives me a fight when I get ready to take him out, but I put them both in the smaller bowl until I am done. Once the water is conditioned and ready I put the fish back in the tank. The bigger one didn’t fight much when I put him back in the tank, which I thought was odd but I didn’t really think too much about it. Moments later I look at the tank and the big fish was on his side floating at the top of the tank. Tail flipped down...but he was breathing. I took the net and pushed him down in the tank but he floated right back to the top. I called my daughter on FaceTime as I couldn’t believe this was happening. I said I think Ryder( the fish) is going to die! I turned the camera on Ryder so she could see. She says that’s the way my fish looked before it died. I told her don’t say that! I was seriously beside myself. I felt myself silently commanding my fish to live; Yes I was praying for my fish. I mean I was really having a moment. My daughter told me to stop watching it. I finally turned my back and tried to focus on something else. Minutes later I just had to peak...and guess what??? Ryder was swimming happily around the tank! Isn’t that just like us sometime? Fighting and running from where God wants to take us. Then we find ourselves in situations where it seems like our world has been flipped upside down? Our faith is being tested on every hand. But we must remember, in good times and bad, God commands us to LIVE. We have to keep on pushing even through our struggles. Speaking life daily over our situations. We can’t look at someone else’s situation, what they did, how they’re doing it. But we must do as God commands us to do. 1 Peter 5:10 tells us that after we have suffered for a little while, God will himself restore you, and make you strong, firm and steadfast. Just keep breathing and watch What God does in your life!
