DMV

Its early Saturday morning and I get up and head to the dmv to renew my license. It opens at 8am so I arrive early to begin my wait. Little did I know, I wasn't the only one with the idea to get there early. When I pull up I can see the line running along side the building, wrapped around the corner, down the side of the building into the parking lot. My first thought was there's no way I'm waiting! I sat in my car for about a minute then I gathered my things to go get in line. I was only in line a couple of minutes before I wanted to call it quits. You see sometimes I have back pain/sciatic nerve problems, and this morning I was in PAIN! As much as I wanted to get out of line, I decided to wait. I stooped down, tried to do some stretching, anything to ease the pain....I made a few phone calls...Kept myself busy, all while I waited. It was over an hour before I even got in the door. Once in the door I waited as they called customers up one at a time for seating. Finally it was my turn. I proceeded to the desk only for the lady to tell me I didn't have all my documents. I took a deep breath before I spoke so I could choose my words wisely. I calmly asked her "what do you need from me?" Without going into the whole conversation she realized that it was all a misunderstanding and that I did have all the documents needed. As she keyed my information and printed my ticket one of the examiners walked up and said I got this ticket...the lady told me to proceed to station #5. I looked at her and said Me??? She said yes he'll take you at station #5. (Favor ain't fair) As I finished everything and walked out the door... Oh what a revelation! When God has something for you nothing can stop it. As long as you stay the course. Keep walking and keep trusting. It may not be easy. You may have to endure pain and hardships, but wait on the Lord. You can't always go by what you see or even how it feels. Don't give up, Don't give in, stay in the race. Just know that after you've waited, stood on his word, he is able to perform just what he said! In God's timing he can excel you to just where he wants you to be! 🙌🏽

P. S. I was so excited and grateful at the dmv that I forgot all about my wait time; and that pain I was feeling was a distant thought! 💃🏽
