Where do I begin...the year began with such excitement. When I began to think of 2020 I thought of perfect vision. It’s what the eye Dr. says when you don’t need corrective lenses. As a wearer of glasses I know what it’s like to need assistance seeing 2020. I also know what it’s like to go several years without getting an exam, then getting a new pair of glasses and realizing just how bad my vision was. As the Dr completes the exam we go through a series of lenses where they ask if #1 is better or #2; is #3 better or number #4; and so forth and so on. They do this for both eyes before putting it all together; for 2020, perfect vision! What this world needs is to see each other through the eyes of God! 1 Samuel 16:7 says man looks on the outward appearance; God looks at the heart! No we are not perfect people but our vision has been obscured way too long and more recently due to frustration from systemic injustice. Are you seeing clearly or do you need an eye adjustment? What lenses are you looking through....hate or love? Will you focus on one part and not another? Will you make excuses for not seeing 2020? Sure I can run to the dollar store and buy some readers, but that only temporarily fixes the problem. Without getting that exam I can not obtain the 2020 vision to see clearly.
